Consultations & Outpatient Diagnostics in Newtown
Outpatients ultrasounds and internal medicine consultations serve distinct roles in veterinary care. Each focused on diagnosing and managing various aspects of pet health.
An ultrasound is a diagnostic imaging tool that uses sound waves to create images of the inside of the body. It is often used to examine organs, tissues, and fluids in pets, helping to diagnose conditions such as tumors, kidney disease, and more. Our team can perform ultrasounds on an outpatient basis to provide your primary care veterinarian with valuable information to be used for diagnosis and treatment planning.
The purpose of an internal medicine consultation is to thoroughly evaluate complex or chronic health issues in pets. The veterinary specialist will review your pet's medical history, conduct a physical exam, and perform blood work and imaging tests. The goal is to identify the causes of symptoms and develop an effective treatment plan while collaborating with your primary care vet.
